Project Proposal Development
In the current scarcity of funds for development assistance or humanitarian response, programmes have faced increasing challenges in winning grants. It is even more challenging for upcoming organizations. This means that a competitive and professionally designed proposal must precede the reviewer’s date of opening the proposals for funding.

In attempting to write a proposal, writers must abide by the required rules stated out in the RFP/RFA, and the bidding organization must demonstrate that they are competent. To this regard, This course will take students through the lifecycle of project proposal development, students will learn to professionally design the technical and financial application to meet the expectations of the funder and the internal processes of management should funds be disbursed to the project.

Training Objectives:
1. To introduce participants to professional technical and financial proposal writing skills
2. To coach participants on how to compete and increase their chances of winning grants
3. To properly orient participants in project genesis, design and management

This training is suitable for various staff from the NGO/CBO/CSO/FBO/Government/Private Sectors whose roles include the development proposals for funding. The training is particularly suitable for Project Managers, Grants Officers, Logistics Officers, Human Resource Officers, Monitoring & Evaluation Officers and Finance Admins among others. Project Management Students are also encouraged to apply for this training

Expected Training Outcomes:
At the end of this course, participants should be able to demonstrate competence in writing winning/salable Project Proposals capable of attracting funding into a programme. The skills gained should enable participants to effectively participate and contribute with competence in senior level meetings and programme design workshops.

Training Duration:
This training will take up to 30 hours to complete; but divided into 10 sessions of 3 hours each, and conducted in 10 consecutive days.
