In the current scarcity of funds for development assistance or humanitarian response, programmes have faced increasing challenges in winning grants. It is even more challenging for upcoming organizations. This means that a competitive and professionally designed proposal must precede the reviewer’s date of opening the proposals for funding. In attempting to write a proposal, writers must abide by the required rules stated out in the RFP/RFA, and the bidding organization must demonstrate that they are competent. In this regard, it is important for managers to professionally design the technical and financial application to meet the expectations of the funder and are confident about the internal processes of management should funds be disbursed to the project.
